Programs

Our philosophy is to make sure our consumers and families get the best possible services; in that, we devote as much time as possible to their training, learning and empowerment so that any potential barriers or challenges can be altered, adapted to or overcome by establishing, developing and honing any number of skills that would precipitate that. Our program is an “Integration Training Program”; active in offering services which focus on a consumer’s individualized needs and interests, which encourages skills development, independence and empowerment on a consistent basis.

The object of this program is to instruct, guide and support a consumer in becoming as independent as possible by providing supervision, training and assistance in independent living skills. This program will allow the consumer to make choices in their daily lives, provide the natural, normative opportunities for practice of critical skills, live lives that is similar to yours and mine and meet the challenges of effectively transitioning for the consumer to live in an independent or semi-independent environment.

The object of this service is that, at times, it becomes evident that a particular consumer is not benefitting from training but instead requires on-going support to sustain his/her independent living situation. During the training phase under Regional Center services such as ILS, etc, In-Home Support Services (IHSS) or other generic supportive services should be obtained. However, if a consumer is not eligible for IHSS or other generic service, or who is in need of more assistance than generic services allowed, then personal assistance services may be an option for the consumer.
